The US presidential election is only two months away. At this point, Kamala Harris is leading in the national polls. But the presidential election is not really a national election. Most states are either solidly Democratic (blue) or Republican (red). A small number of battleground states will choose the next president. And in those states, the race between Kamala and Trump is extremely close.
